Beats From The Soul will visit your setting with all props, instruments supplied. You just need the space and the chairs. Your workshop can be tailored to suit the age and needs of your group.

​

Drumming sessions run for an hour and include mindful awareness activities using the breath, nature and senses. Students will also use the drums to explore rhythm and play games to develop their skills in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship skills.

​

Workshops can be arranged as:

​

  • weekly classes for small groups/classes of students

  • interactive one-off workshops for groups or classes

  • school holiday programs

  • inservice for staff workshops

​

We can come to your school and run multiple classes over one full day or we can come for a term of social and emotional learning, building on the learnings of the previous week including topics such as:

​

  • teamwork

  • identity

  • strengths

  • feelings & emotions

  • relationships

  • self-expression

  • self-awareness

​

As an accredited facilitator of the Holyoake DRUMBEAT program and Rhythm2Recovery model, my sessions are aligned to the Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships initiative and give students experiences and opportunities to develop strategies in understanding their emotional intelligence.

​

The program also addresses the Victorian Curriculum goals from level A to 6.

The activities modelled, can also be used by teachers and therapists in Circle Solution Sessions in the classroom and can support School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Approach.
